We precision print the cards in full colour onto premium quality laminated card before adding the spot UV varnish for a luxurious, "exclusive" appearance.

Spot UV Save The Date Cards Printing by StressFreePrint


Spot UV is a glossy varnish coating which can be applied to certain elements (spots) of a design. We first print our spot UV save the date cards in full colour before adding a matt lamination to both sides . We then apply the spot UV varnish to selected elements of the artwork, creating a slightly raised, tactile, glossy sheen. This can be used to highlight printed elements such as text, photographs and illustrations or to create a reflective abstract pattern on top of the printed image.

Spot UV is most effective when used to introduce a raised, reflective pattern or to highlight the names of the happy couple. It's most striking when applied over dark areas of print, especially solid back backgrounds, which provide contrast for the glossy varnish.
